Struggling Chipangano still optimistic

Story by Mhlomuli Ncube

STRUGGLING Castle Lager Premiership side Hwange FC, Chipangano, are hoping for a change of fortunes as they take on Bikita Minerals at the Colliery Stadium this Sunday.

While it has been a not so bright season so far, there is still a sense of optimism in the Hwange FC camp.

Chipangano still harbors hope that when the season wraps up, the coalminers will still be in the premier league.

“We are working hard to ensure we win this game. I have a message to the fans, they should not give up. We are still in contention, and we are building our team bit by bit,” said Hwange FC coach, Rodwell Dhlakama.

Anchored at the bottom of the log, Chipangano’s last two games produced a bag of mixed fortunes.

A one nil victory over GreenFuel was followed up by a similar scoreline loss to Bulawayo giants, Highlanders.

Chipangano are banking on home advantage in their match against fellow miners, Bikita.
