THE ZANU PF Leadership in Masvingo says it is now ready for general elections set for this coming Wednesday and they are confident of victory.
As the country goes to polls this Wednesday, the ZANU PF party leadership in Masvingo Province was in Zaka Central constituency where villagers appreciated the work that was done by President Emmerson Mnangagwa-led government in ensuring improved service delivery in their area.
“The kind of development we witnessed under the leadership of President Mnangagwa is massive here in Zaka. Many of our irrigation schemes were revived. Boreholes were drilled for gardens,” said a ZANU PF supporter.
“For us women, we appreciate that several clinics were built, roads were rehabilitated such that we easily access services,” said another supporter.
ZANU PF Politburo member, Cde Lovemore Matuke urged supporters to defend the country’s legacy through voting for development on Wednesday.
“As a party, we are saying the time is now for us to come out in our numbers and defend our legacy. Let us go and vote our President Cde Mnangagwa and councillors to ensure development,” he said.
ZANU PF Masvingo Provincial Chairperson, Cde Robson Mavhenyengwa said, “We are ready for 23 August as Masvingo, we are promising President Emmerson Mnangagwa all our 26 seats in the province.”
ZANU PF candidate for ZAKA tor Cde Davis Marapira, who is also Deputy Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development promised to continue implementing developmental programmes in the area if voted into parliament.
“We have been on the ground doing a lot of work spearheaded by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, but we are saying if voted into power we will continue ensuring development,” said Cde Marapira.
The country goes to polls this Wednesday with President Emmerson Mnangagwa calling for peace during the election period.
