Manicaland bids farewell to Brigadier General (Rtd) Mutsvunguma

THE body of National Hero, Brigadier General (Retired) Romeo Daniel Mutsvunguma is lying in state at Charles Gumbo barracks in Harare, ahead of burial at the National Heroes Acre this Monday.

The people of Makoni district and Manicaland province have pledged to attend the burial ceremony in their numbers to give brigadier General Retired Mutsvunguma a befitting send off.

ZANU PF Manicaland Provincial Secretary for Transport and Social Welfare, Cde Sternly Mbawa, revealed that all Transport logistical arrangements are now in place to ferry family and friends from Makoni district and Manicaland province in general to the national heroes’ acre for the burial of the national hero.

“As Makoni district, we want to thank the President for declaring Cde Mutsvunguma a national hero. We have allocated a bus in every constituency of Makoni district to ferry people to the national heroes’ acre. We have allocated two buses in Makoni West where he comes from.

“The other bus has been allocated to the family, and the buses will be here this evening. We are happy with the support to ensure the people of Makoni are able to attend the burial ceremony and pay their last respect.”

The body of Brigadier General retired Mutsvunguma arrived in Harare early Sunday.
