Venezuela, India strengthen bilateral relations within BRICS

TV BRICS – The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yvan Gil, held a working meeting with the Ambassador of India, Shri P K Ashok Babu, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela where essential issues for strategic cooperation between the two nations were discussed.

Venezuela and India are taking significant steps to strengthen their bilateral relations, with a special focus on key areas such as investment and alternative energy, as reported by El Ciudadano, a partner of TV BRICS.

This joint effort seeks to enhance the role of both countries in the BRICS alliance, which plays a pivotal role on the international stage.

“We addressed key issues of the bilateral relationship, such as alternative energies, trade, investments and, of course, our intention to integrate into BRICS+ to contribute to the development of our peoples through multipolarity,” Gil shared.

Venezuela has intensified its collaboration with India, signing agreements that have benefited sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry and the production of iron and electric cables. The visit of Indian businessmen to Venezuela has resulted in significant investments in various productive sectors in the country.

In early June, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reaffirmed Venezuela’s readiness to become a strategic partner of the BRICS.
