THE second edition of the Africa Health ExCon was officially opened by the Egyptian President, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the EL Manara International Conference Center in Cairo this Tuesday.
Vice President, General Rtd Dr Constantino Chiwenga who is also the Health and Child Care Minister and his wife Colonel Miniyothabo Chiwenga were part of the delegates invited by the Egyptian government to attend the official opening of the conference which was attended by health experts from the continent.
The Vice President is part of the panel of speakers from over 90 countries taking part in the conference, which is organized by the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement, Medical Supply and Technology Management (AUPP) and the Arab Hospitals Federation under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The Africa Health ExCon was established to be the continental hub of health innovation and trade in Africa and the Middle East.


The conference and exhibition provide an opportunity for international and African companies working in the health and pharmaceutical business to meet together on an annual basis

More than 316 sessions and 36 workshops will be held as part of the conference’s activities with the participation of international experts.


The sessions will review steps to increase Africa’s capacity towards manufacturing vaccines and medicines.
Vice President Chiwenga is expected to hold meetings with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, as well as his counterpart the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population as Zimbabwe seeks to form strategic alliances with the North African country.
