NAC constructs provincial headquarters in Mash East

GOVERNMENT says infrastructural development is key to the attainment of Vision 2030.

Mashonaland East Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Senator Aplonia Munzverengwi who presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the state-of-the-art four storey National Aids Council provincial headquarters in Marondera this Saturday said such key infrastructural developments are key for the attainment of an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.

“We are very excited as a province to be witnessing such a massive development as this resonates with the government’s devolution agenda which seeks to have an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.”

The National Aids Council says the new infrastructure will ensure all its services get to the people as part of its contribution towards the NDS1.

“As an organisation, we follow the President’s vision of an upper-middle-income society by 2030 and this is one such initiative towards the goals,” said National Aids Council CEO, Dr Madzima.

The development comes at a time Marondera has witnessed a steady growth in infrastructure developments including shopping malls, tobacco auction floors fast food outlets and retail shops.
