Zim twins chair regional association

Story by Patience Nyagato

FOUNDERS of the Twins Association of Zimbabwe Tendai and Farai Katonha have been appointed the chairpersons of the Southern Africa Development Committee of the Twins Association.

A Twins Association of Zimbabwe (TAZ) delegation is expected to join scores of their peers from other countries at a regional summit in Zambia this weekend.

This comes at a time when the founders of the local association assumed co-chairmanship of the regional body that looks into the welfare of twins and offsprings from multiple births.

Twins Association of Zimbabwe’s co-founder Mr Tendai Katonha said, “The association have grown beyond the borders with other countries also becoming part of the organisation. Over the weekend, we will be in Zambia where we will open a regional office.”

“We have been appointed chairmanship of this regional office which will benefit our country as we also get an opportunity to share knowledge,” said the Twins Association of Zimbabwe’s co-founder Mr Farai Katonha.

Among other issues, the association aims to improve livelihoods and ensure all twins and offsprings from multiple births have access to education among other objectives.
