Story by Fungai Jachi

War veteran, diplomat and former Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador Thomas Mandigora, has been buried.

The liberation war hero and former Ambassador to Botswana was buried this Saturday at Glen Forest cemetery in Harare this Saturday, with colleagues and family describing him as a hardworking man.

His son Tongai said, “It is sad that we have said goodbye to a hardworking and selfless man who only wanted the best for his family and the nation. He has left a gap which will be difficult to fill.”

Colleagues said Ambassador Mandigora was a dedicated cadre who wanted to see Zimbabwe develop.

“He was a fine man who worked hard. A selfless and dedicated man who wanted to see the country prosper,” noted Ambassador Mark Grey Marongwe.

Ambassador Godfrey Chidyausiku also noted, “No words can describe the loss. He did his best to serve the country. We have truly lost a cadre.”

Ambassador Mandigora, who died on the 20th of May, was a veteran broadcaster who worked for the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation and Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe.
