A 29-year-old man who was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs will spend more time behind bars after he was denied bail.
Nigel Kunyeya, who was allegedly found in possession of cocaine at State House in Harare last week has been denied bail.
Kunyeya filed a bail application which was turned down on the basis that the accused is not a proper candidate for bail as he is likely to abscond.
The accused who was allegedly found with a sachet of cocaine and nine empty sachets with cocaine residue was remanded in custody to the 12th of next month.
Meanwhile, in another case, two Beitbridge-based police officers who stole a Toyota Prado at gunpoint have been convicted of robbery.
Andrew Magwenzi and Edmore Nyamaropa threatened to shoot the occupants ordering them to surrender the car.
The duo will be back in court this Wednesday for sentencing.
