THE Southern African Regional Police Chiefs Cooperation Organisation (SARPCCO) Chairperson and his delegation are in Zimbabwe to assess, monitor and evaluate the Regional Performance and Implementation of SARPCCO resolutions by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
Inspector General of the Zambia Police Service, Graphel Musamba who is also the SARPCCO Chairperson this Monday paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Honourable Kazembe Kazembe where they discussed Zimbabwe’s compliance with SARPCCO resolutions.
“We are visiting all countries in SARPCCO to see if they are complying with the laid down resolutions. I am impressed with what I have seen as Zimbabwe is in the right direction of implementing the resolution,” said Musamba.
Minister Kazembe said the visit has come at an opportune time, “This visit is a welcome development because it shows that we are working together as a region to fight crime. The visit gives us time to reflect on what more can be done in the fight crime.”
SARPCCO is principally responsible for the prevention and combating of Cross-border and Transnational Organised Crimes.
