An 18-year-old Harare man is facing rape charges after he allegedly sexually abused his 10 year old sister.
The teenager, who stays in Waterfalls surburb, is accused of sexually abusing his 10-year-old sister since 2020 and was arraigned before a Harare magistrate this Friday on charges of rape.
He was not asked to plead when he made his initial appearance and was remanded in custody pending trial.
It is alleged that the teenager would rape his sister whenever they were alone at home.
The matter came to light when the girl narrated her ordeal to their mother who escorted her to file a report with the police.
Meanwhile, two suspected fraudsters who posed as BeForward agents in a ploy to defraud an unsuspecting buyer appeared in court on charges of fraud.
The two, Poelani Karidza and Tinashe Chindinge allegedly duped the complainant of US$6 400 in a botched car deal.
They became evasive after being paid prompting the complainant to report the matter to the police.
The pair was released on bail pending trial.
