Veteran Jazz musician Kelly Rusike has died. He was 59.
The music fraternity has been plunged into mourning after the death of one of the popular Rusike Brothers, Kelly who was the frontman of the Jazz Invitation band.
Family spokesperson, Abby Rusike confirmed the death of the Jazz bassist who succumbed to diabetes Wednesday night.
Kelly Rusike broke into the music scene as part of a pop group with his brothers; Tawanda, Phillip, Abby and Collin, who were famous for the ‘Ngwerewere Sadza’ advert that ran on ZBC TV.
He later became the frontman of another successful band ‘Jazz Invitation,’ famed for hits such as BP Yangu Yakwira.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
