Turkish public broadcaster, Turkish Radio and Television (TRT), launched TRT Afrika this Friday, a new digital platform to promote the packaging of balanced stories about the realities of Africa’s development.
The platform is in line with TRT’s objectives of impartial and inclusive journalism.
TRT which mainly operates in four languages which are English, French, Hausa and Swahili, went live this Friday during the second day of the First Broadcasting Summit organised by TRT and the African Union of Broadcasting in Istanbul.
Zimbabwe is among nations participating at this linkage platform, with expectations that such a synergy will be critical to tell a balanced story about the realities of the country’s development and success stories to the global community, according to Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation Chief Executive Officer Ms Adelaide Chikunguru.
