ZANU PF Harare provincial leadership says a lot of ground has been covered to reclaim parliamentary seats lost to the opposition as the party gears up for the 2023 general elections.
The party’s Provincial Chairman, Goodwills Masimirembwa is convinced the ruling party will reclaim parliamentary seats and wards lost to the opposition in the province through various strategies including the ongoing voter mobilisation blitz.
Masimirembwa who addressed the media in Harare this Saturday urged party members to maintain peace and unity as the country heads for general elections this year.
“We have done our preparatory work. We have mobilised voters among our stakeholders. We did a blitz to ensure those without documents are assisted to get ID documents. I can assure you that we are reclaiming our seats. After 2023 the whole of Harare province will be under the control of ZANU PF.
Masimirembwa has read a riot act on those abusing party regalia and misrepresenting ZANU PF on social media.
“We have noted with concern that people who are not members of ZANU PF are abusing party regalia and social media, the latest being a person who claims to be a member of the youth league in Mabvuku Tafara. The party has channels,” said Masimirembwa.
The ruling ZANU PF has made it clear that party members and affiliates should follow the constitution as they conduct business on behalf of the party.
