Story by Anashe Murombedzi

BULAWAYO giants Highlanders have recalled goalkeeper Reward Muza from a six-month loan at Bulawayo City as Bosso prepares a team ahead of the 2023 season.

Muza was on loan since July last year at Bulawayo City and was an outstanding player at the Bulawayo metropolitan side.

The shot-stopper had become a regular starter at Amakhosi, but has retraced his footsteps back home hoping to compete for the Number 1 shirt with skipper Ariel Sibanda.

The Baltermer Brito-coached side signed a striker Calvin “Kung-fu Panda” Chigonero on a loan deal from ZIFA Southern Region Division One side Talen Vision, while Bosso 90 captain Gillian Nyathi has been promoted to the first team.

“As Highlanders Football Club, we have so far signed Calvin “Kung-fu Panda” Chigonero from Talen Vision and then Gillian Nyathi was promoted from Bosso 90 side and was the club’s captain. On the list we also have Reward Muza, who was loaned out to BCC he was recalled to the club and Nkosi Sibanda has renewed his contract which had expired last year. We will be giving you more updates as time goes on,” said Highlanders spokesperson, Nozibelo Maphosa.

However, Bosso defender Andrew Tandi’s contract was extended by another year while midfielder Bukhosi Sibanda was offloaded after his contract expired on December 31, last year.
