ZANU PF remembers the elderly during the festive season

The ruling ZANU PF has extended a helping hand to the vulnerable after the party’s national chairman, Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri handed over food hampers to more than 50 senior citizens in Harare this Wednesday.

Voice… More than 50 elderly persons in Harare got a festive season cheer this Wednesday after receiving food hampers, including rice, soap and sugar, courtesy of ZANU PF National Chairperson Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri.

A beneficiary told ZBC News, “We are very grateful for the donations we have received today from Cde Muchinguri, it means a lot to us.”

Another said, “Today it’s a big day for me, I have received food hampers from Cde Muchinguri. For us this is good she remembered us as elderly people. I am grateful.”

ZANU PF Harare Province Women’s League chairperson, Cde Ratidzo Mukarati and Acting Secretary for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province, Ms Margaret Nyakujara commended the revolutionary party for its policy of inclusivity.

“I want to thank our ZANU PF leadership for reaching out to the needy. We have seen our President, and our First Lady reaching out to all corners to help the vulnerable. So, I want to thank them for the gesture. I want also to thank Cde Muchinguri Kashiri for her kind gesture today,” Cde Mukarati said.

“We commend Cde Kashiri for remembering the needy, especially at a time when she is celebrating her birthday. She had remembered those who are in needy,” noted Cde Nyakujara.

The donation is part of Cde Muchinguri Kashiri’s birthday gift, a gesture which was also extended to Harare and Hupenyu Hutsva Children’s Homes.
