THE Pan African Parliament (PAP) joint retreat with the African Union Permanent Representatives Committee entered day two in Johannesburg, South Africa this Tuesday with a focus on the need for PAP to be fully resourced to carry out its mandate.
Members of PAP led by ANC Chief whip and South African member of Parliament, Honourable Pemmy Majodina spoke with one voice on the need for PAP to get the necessary financial support.
Attention was also drawn to PAP’s role in election observer missions across the continent.
PAP President, Chief Fortune Charumbira added his voice saying as elected members of parliament the legislators are better placed to observe elections with due diligence.
