Mid-Term review of Zim-Botswana BNC starts Tuesday

ZIMBABWE is set to host the mid-term review for the third session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission which gets underway this Tuesday.

With cooperation in areas of trade and investment, health, communication, immigration and tourism among others, the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission is reaffirming strategic and beneficial relations between the two countries.

The Mid-term review which will be hosted in Harare between Tuesday and Wednesday will focus on a number of issues within various committees including political and diplomatic, economic, social, defence and security.

The meeting will also cast the spotlight on enhancing and broadening areas of cooperation after the third Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission in February this year.

The third session of the BNC also saw Memoranda of Understanding in the fields of Tourism, Water, Youth Development, Child Protection and Agriculture Development and food security being signed with the mid-term review set to deliberate on progress made so far.

The fourth session of the BNC will be hosted by Botswana in June next year.
