Australia and Denmark clash for runners-up slot in group D

TUNISIA face a tough assignment this Wednesday when they take on defending champions, France in a match that will determine their fate at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Tunisia are at the bottom in Group D, with a point from two games and they need nothing short of a victory to progress to the round of 16.

France are already through to the knock-out stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup after winning their first two matches and will seal the top spot in Group D with a draw or a result that favours them in another match featuring Australia and Denmark.

The two matches start at 5 p.m.

The action continues at 9 p.m. when Poland takes on Argentina in Group C, while Saudi Arabia faces Mexico at the same time.

In matches played on Tuesday, African champions, Senegal progressed to the knockout stage after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ecuador.

Netherlands qualified as Group A winners after beating hosts, Qatar 2-nil.

In Group B, the United States of America were the better side after a one-nil win over Iran helped them to progress to the last 16, where they will face the Netherlands

Marcus Rashford’s second-half double propelled England to a 3-0 win over neighbours Wales to seal a last-16 berth against Senegal.
