Kuda Mahachi bares soul

By Anashe Murombedzi

WARRIORS midfielder, Kudakwashe Mahachi who has been cleared of attempted murder charges has bared his soul on the trauma he went through during his seven month trial.

While Zimbabweans know Kuda Mahachi as a flying winger on the field of play, no one ever thought he would spend months defending himself in court after being accused of assaulting his son with an iron bar.

He was also accused pouring hot water on his son and assaulting him with a cable.

However, Mahachi has been cleared and has finally found the courage to speak on the trauma he went through.

“I saw my whole world turning upside down, I was dismissed from my club with immediate effect and had no income, I was vilified by a nation that I once was the football darling of and my fate was sealed through social media without a trial,” said Mahachi in a statement.

Mahachi claims he was a victim of a bitter ex-lover, who came up with false charges that he had kidnapped and smuggled his own child out of South Africa.

He says his son was a victim of negligence at the hands of family members who were meant to look after him in Bulawayo after he had been diagnosed with a skin infection known as Ulcer Sepsis.
