A Hwange man has been sentenced to an effective 14 years in jail after being convicted of rape for abusing his 11-year-old daughter.
Regional magistrate Collet Ncube sentenced the 33-year-old man to 14 years in prison after the state proved its case against the convict.
The man reportedly raped his daughter and threatened to kill her if she revealed the matter, but the victim told her sister before a police report was made.
Magistrate Ncube initially sentenced the rapist father to 16 years in jail, but 2 years were suspended on condition that he does not commit a similar offence.
