Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets

By Albert Chekayi

Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after beating Bangladesh by 5 wickets at the Adelaide Oval in Australia.

Pakistan had looked down and out after losing to India and Zimbabwe but found themselves back in contention after the Netherlands beat South Africa by 13 runs in one of the biggest shocks in the history of cricket.

Pakistan went on to finish the job restricting Bangladesh to 127/8 in their allotted 20 overs before reaching their target with 11 balls remaining.

The result confirms the four teams who will battle it out in the semi-finals, namely India, Pakistan, New Zealand and England.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe take on India with only pride at stake as all the semi-finalists have been confirmed.
