The 16-year-old Hatcliffe girl who allegedly murdered her 35-year-old boyfriend has been slapped with fresh charges for allegedly stabbing her stepfather.
The teenager is now facing fresh charges of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing her 54-year-old stepfather Honesty Simon on the same day she allegedly killed her boyfriend.
It is alleged that Simon, who is battling for his life at a local hospital, was stabbed by the minor after he tried to counsel her to desist from wayward behaviour.
It also emerged that after stabbing Simon, the minor proceeded to a shebeen in Hatcliffe where she had a heated argument with the now-deceased Amos Mhere before she stabbed him in the chest using a kitchen knife.
Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the latest development.
“We can confirm that Honesty Simon was stabbed by the minor after she tried to counsel her. As we are speaking Simon is battling for his life at a local hospital.”
The teenager is already in remand prison after appearing before Harare Magistrate, Mr Dennis Mangosi who remanded her to the 18th of this month.
