THE Pan-African Parliament (PAP) Women’s Conference is currently underway in Midrand, South Africa.
The conference being held under the theme: “Women empowerment and inclusion in governance,” is looking at different ways of empowering women on the African continent in line with aspirations of Agenda 2063 as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Aspiration six of Agenda 2063 calls for “an Africa, whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people, especially its women and youth, and caring for children.”
