THREE people are feared dead, while others were injured in a traffic road accident involving an unregistered commuter omnibus and an Inter Africa bus along Seke Road in Harare this morning.
Police are yet to confirm the deaths, but when ZBC News arrived, police officers were attending to the scene, with three bodies covered in red blankets.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the commuter omnibus, which was coming from town towards Chitungwiza, went through a red traffic light resulting in the collision.
“Both the bus and the kombi were speeding. The kombi went through a red robot resulting in the collision,” one of the eyewitnesses told ZBC News.
ZRP spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said, “This is sad. Drivers just need to adhere to traffic regulations to avoid unnecessary loss of life.”
Eyewitnesses said the bus had no passengers and those who died and were injured were in the commuter omnibus.
